Customer consent before redeeming points:

  • The option to pay by points cannot be enabled by default.
  • Customers must explicitly give consent to utilise the rewards/points to pay part of the order total by using their points balance.
  • Seeking and procuring consent from the customer is mandatory before rewards/points are redeemed as per legal agreement with our partners.

Payment Options/ Check Balance

  • Your order may fail if an incorrect split between card and points amount is provided while initiating a payment. E.g. For an order total of Rs.45.73 if the redeemable amount by points is shown as Rs.32.01, initiate a payment of Rs.13.72 by card and Rs.32.01 by points. Attempting to initiate a payment not in accordance to the Payment Options API can result in the order getting failed.

Refunds of expired points:

  • Refunds to customer will not not be allowed for the amount corresponding to expired points. However, this amount will be settled to you. You can pass the benefit of this refund to the customer as you deem fit.
  • You will see receive a message on the Merchant Dashboard when you attempt to refund a points transaction: "Points that have expired cannot be refunded to the customer, but they will be refunded to you. Please use your discretion in managing this amount with your customers."
